CHILDBIRTH BASICS

Looking for an accelerated childbirth class? Having a second baby and interested in a refresher class? This class will explore the basics of childbirth including anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, physical and emotional changes, nutrition, stages of labor, comfort tools for labor (positions, birth ball, shower, breathing & relaxation), risks/benefits of medications, understanding cesarean birth, postpartum and breastfeeding basics. Healthy snacks, information packet, Certificate of Attendance and receipt for insurance reimbursement provided.

VBAC BASICS & BEYOND

Considering a Vaginal Birth after Cesarean? Did you know that 80% of women who had a previous Cesarean can have a vaginal birth with the subsequent baby? Curious how to make it more likely? Want to figure out how to avoid the way things happened with your previous birth? This class is for you! Explore the evidence related to VBAC success and practice effective ways to cope with labor (positions, comfort measures, imagery, relaxation exercises, breathing). You'll learn proven actions you can do prenatally and in labor to increase the likeliness that this baby will be born vaginally...it really IS possible! Healthy snacks, information packet, Certificate of Attendance and receipt for insurance reimbursement provided.
