Country Bank donates $5,000 to the Yellow House Money Matters Program
The Yellow House is pleased to announce the receipt of a donation of $5,000 from Country Bank for Savings. This generous donation is in support of the popular Money Matters classes, taught by highly-qualified professional instructors including David Farnham of Merrill Lynch, Attorney Elizabeth Lovejoy, and Financial Advisor Susan Allen. Dave and Elizabeth have taught for several semesters at the Yellow House: Protect Your Estate from Nursing Homes, Probate, Taxes and Creditors; Estate Planning; Women and Wealth; Plan for the Retirement You Want; and Investing Strategically in Today's Market are examples of some of their most popular classes. Participants are extremely enthusiastic about the quality and relevance of the information given during class. The classes are quite informal with plenty of opportunities for discussion. Bring your questions and they will be answered!
This year, in addition to Dave and Elizabeth's classes, Susan Allen will be teaching the following: Getting the Most Out of Your Social Security; Safe Money Retirement Options,; Life Insurance for a Small Business; and The ABC's of Annuities. The spring/summer schedule will be available by mid-April, and classes begin the week of May 13. Please visit the website at www.yellowhouseccl.com to see a range of the current classes that we offer. Visitors are welcome at the Yellow House any time between 10.30 am and 8.00 pm or call 413 289 6091 for details. Viridian Green Electricity
The Yellow House has an exciting fundraising opportunity we would like to tell you about. As of June 1st, we can offer you and your business (if you are a business owner) Green Electricity which will save you money over time. In addition, the Yellow House receives a monthly contribution in your name. Save money over time, go green, help the planet, help the Yellow House community center for learning AND support local business... it doesn't get better than that.
You continue with National Grid as your delivery service only now you have a green energy supplier. If you own a company, you can publicize that you are a green energy business. You can put this sticker on your front door telling everyone that this business supports green energy. Viridian purchases its renewable energy locally, so you are supporting local business, and you know how important supporting local business is...
It's very simple to sign up with Viridian – it just takes a few minutes to enroll on their website at www.viridian.com. If you are enrolling your business, you need to download an application form which you then fax directly to Viridian. You will need the Yellow House Associate ID# 27651 to complete the application. Or you can make an appointment to see Margaret at the Yellow House. We will go over the process with you and help you enroll online. You must have your current electric bill with you!
Visit the website at www.viridian.com to learn the difference it makes for the environment, as well as the amount you can expect to save on your electric bill, when you switch to green electricity.
Please call 413 289 6091 for more information about how to go green and help the Yellow House at the same time.
